adding [type of post] to rss titles

a log of this website's changes

This site’s notes section is my playground, because I have that type of personality who needs to have an entire section for note-like informal posts so that I can feel like I can post anything under the sun. I have several subtypes of notes so I can filter them if I just want to view an entire subtype alone. If you click on the “instagram” subtype for example, there is a special template configured to show photo thumbnails. To be honest based on my stats no one really browses this website this way except for me.

Someone told me they cannot tell the difference between regular posts and notes in their rss feed, plus I was always worried that some people may not want to see some of the note-type content, so I changed the rss feed to show the type of note in the titles. So now in your rss feed it will say:

[instagram] this is a heading

…if it is an instagram post. Hence you can choose to not to click on headings that are posts of my photos. Regular long-form posts will simply have regular headings.

You can always choose to subscribe the the long-form only feed, but I can see that some people may like certain types of notes but not all. Or maybe this is just me being me.
