A kind stranger dmed to tell me that my rss feed was broken – turns out the code for displaying custom fields on rss was throwing a php fatal error (Uncaught TypeError: Cannot access offset of type string on string). It worked until the last few days – there were no changes on the php version on server so till now I have no idea what had happened. I tried to fix it this morning but wasn’t successful, so I removed the entire chunk of code for now.
Because I tried to fix it we went out later than usual. I got grumpy because we planned to visit Miyajima island and I was worried we wouldn’t have enough time. I am not very good at regulating myself. But on the ferry leaving Hiroshima we were rewarded with this:

We would have missed seeing the rainbow if we were not late
We caught sight of the beautiful famous tori gate while the ferry approached Miyajima:

I asked my partner is it a little nuts to come all the way to see something floating like this – she said yes, but it is still worth seeing. I am not sure intellectually what is the fascination with this but emotionally I am in awe. Here’s a closeup:

The lighting wasn’t great as the skies were grey. The sun came out when we were leaving but by then I wasn’t going to go all the way back to take another photo.

There were wild deer everywhere but I’ll share a photo of this one chilling here:

If you missed the last couple of posts because of the broken rss feed the entire series is here.
