112 months: thrive physically to thrive creatively

originally published on instagram

ecently unexpectedly she started going to the gym with me — at first she wasn’t sure if she could really commit to it because to avoid crowds we have to go to the gym really early in the morning and she loves her sleep. But she did it anyway, and for the first time this week she told me she started to understand the joy of running. it is so fun to pursue fitness as a couple, but fun aside it is so rare to be on the same page when it comes to health and values. creativity is important to both of us, and experiencing the fragility of our body as we age made us learn that thriving physically is essential to thriving creatively. i just feel so grateful to share this world, this life and this love with her. what an incredible 112 months together, how impossible it still feels that we made it this far together, how hyper-aware i am to know that good things don’t last forever; hence to get to another month together, always feels like a miracle.

Exercising can be nice to do together! My girlfriend recently started running as well, and it’s been nice to go out to the nearby park together.
