I’m not sure how I stumbled upon these youtube videos on Hong Kong. It made me miss the city very much. I particularly enjoyed the two-part series on Sham Shui Po, one of my favourite areas because there is a giant mall selling all sorts of weird computer-related knick knacks.
Both videos feature interviews with the residents towards the end, and I really appreciated how they had a common theme of trying to preserve something they deem to be worthwhile.
I am afraid that the culture I see so richly embedded in these videos will die out soon. But that’s just life, isn’t it?
I think it is so cool that someone bothered to make these videos.
